As part of a major upgrade project, we’ll be working with The Marine Property Group to completely refresh the marina hardware of its 180-berth Port Dinorwic Marina. As much of the existing infrastructure as possible will be adapted, but where this isn’t feasible, we’ll replace walkways and finger pontoons completely with our Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) decked pontoons. The GRC decking remains slip resistant when wet and doesn’t rot. Read more

Global 6 Metre Breakwater Units

This year we’ve started manufacturing and exporting 6m wide breakwaters from our factory in Ireland, installing them in some far-flung places around the world. “We’re making increasingly larger breakwaters to meet the growing demand,” says Maeve Parker, Inland and Coastal Senior Marina Engineer, “to attenuate waves in more exposed sites. Plus, there’s been a significant growth in the number of superyachts requiring larger floating berths. Read more

New Marina In The Hebrides

Next year, local and visiting leisure craft to Stornoway Harbour will be enjoying a new 76 berth marina, protected by a state-of-the-art breakwater. With demand currently exceeding supply for berthing facilities in Stornoway, we’re installing our standard marina walkway and finger pontoons as part of Stornoway Port Authority’s 2017 Masterplan. Our GRP minimesh decked pontoons will provide the much-needed additional marina berths, all with excellent anti-slip properties. Read more

Conwy Marina Upgrade

17 January 2020

Conwy Marina received an upgrade to its ‘waiting’ jetty earlier this year. The new pontoon is now in constant use, providing water users a safe and secure place to wait for entrance into the marina. We installed a Continuous Concrete Pontoon (CCP), increasing berthing and load capacity for larger vessels. With greater wave reduction and stability properties, the system also requires less maintenance. Read more
