We were delighted to take part in this year’s ICOMIA World Marinas Conference in Venice, an annual gathering that brings global marina professionals together to explore the future of marine infrastructure.
Our Managing Director, Ollie Shortall, joined an expert panel on Friday 17 October to discuss “Redefining Floating Structures with Precast Technology”. The session focused on how modern precast systems are transforming the design and performance of floating marinas, helping operators meet future challenges around safety, sustainability and lifecycle efficiency.
Speaking alongside leaders from Marina Projects Ltd, TYHA (The Yacht Harbour Association) and other respected organisations, Ollie highlighted the role of bespoke pontoon systems engineered for durability and long-term service in demanding marine environments. The conversation considered the shifting expectations of marina users, design opportunities created by precast manufacturing and the critical importance of building infrastructure that stands the test of time.
The panel, expertly moderated by Simon Goodhead, sparked energetic debate and valuable industry insight. It was fantastic to see sustainable innovation placed front and centre of the agenda, with floating structures recognised as key to smarter, more resilient marina development worldwide.
We are proud to contribute to the discussion at ICOMIA and to share the expertise that continues to shape our projects across Ireland, the UK and beyond.
