Seabin is an innovative waste collection solution, designed specifically for installation in harbours and marinas, and we’re proud to be the UK and Ireland supplier.
The bins help remove plastic waste from the marine ecosystem. In the last 18 months we have supplied approx. 50 Seabins across the British Isles.
A SeaBin sits in the water and moves up and down with the tide. It catches waste such as plastic bottles and microplastics as small as 2mm in diameter. A single SeaBin can collect up to 1.4 tons of litter each year – the equivalent of 90,000 plastic bags or 35,700 disposable cups – but costs as little as 80p a day to run.
“Through our work in the marina sector, designing, manufacturing and installing various types of water access systems around the world we have seen the effect of rubbish in our oceans and waterways,” says Leon Cunningham, Inland and Coastal Product Distribution Manager. “A SeaBin is a wonderful tool to help tackle this issue and we are delighted to be part of the SeaBin project and play our part in reducing the waterborne waste.”
It’s straightforward to install Seabins in marinas, harbours and yacht clubs, so get in touch and we’ll come and talk you through the process.
