We are thrilled to announce we have been shortlisted for Sustainability Team of the Year at Ireland’s prestigious Green Awards 2026, showing national recognition for our efforts to make marinas more sustainable.
Green Awards
Since their establishment in 2008, the Green Awards have become Ireland’s leading platform for sustainability leadership and environmental innovation. Past winners represent a who’s who of Irish sustainability professionals, spanning government, academia and the private sector. Shortlisting alone brings increased national visibility, while category winners benefit from extensive media coverage and a coveted Green Award trophy.
We have been shortlisted in the Sustainability Team of the Year category in recognition of the outstanding work of our sustainability team at our Banagher headquarters. The team has led a series of innovative environmental initiatives that are setting new benchmarks for the marina sector in Ireland.
Key achievements highlighted by the judges include the delivery of Living Seawalls to enhance marine biodiversity, the integration of solar energy systems to reduce operational emissions, the successful renewal of ISO 14001 environmental management certification and significant improvements in waste reduction and recycling practices. The team has also developed new biodiversity habitats, ensuring that environmental protection is embedded into marina design and operations.
Through these initiatives, our sustainability team has demonstrated measurable environmental impact while supporting long-term resilience and responsible growth within the marine infrastructure sector.
The Green Awards are independently judged by sustainability experts from government bodies, academic institutions and industry, ensuring a rigorous and credible assessment process. Our shortlisting places the us among Ireland’s leading organisations driving environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices.
The shortlist was unveiled as part of the Green Awards 2026 programme, with winners set to be announced at the Awards Gala on 24 February 2026 at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin.
