We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve recently secured JOSCAR accreditation, strengthening our position as a trusted supplier to the commercial ports and harbours sector and making it easier for customers to work with us.
The move follows feedback from clients and partners that JOSCAR registration is now a key part of tendering and supplier due diligence, with “Are you JOSCAR accredited?” appearing on many applications. The process was led internally by Senior Commercial Manager, Vincent Carey, and Business Development Manager, Jon Challis, who pushed for the accreditation to help streamline future procurement and tender submissions.
“We were increasingly being asked whether we were JOSCAR accredited, so it made sense to take that step,” says Carey. “It removes a barrier when bidding for work and gives our customers confidence that we meet the standards they expect from their suppliers.”
Being JOSCAR registered demonstrates that we meet the rigorous standards required by leading buyers, including financial stability, safety performance and compliance, in line with recognised industry standards.
JOSCAR is widely used across high-assurance industries and is trusted because it is owned and driven by major buyers, originally created by leading defence, aerospace and security organisations to reflect exactly what customers require from their suppliers. It is independently managed by Hellios, ensuring supplier information is collected, validated and maintained consistently and securely.
The system applies a standardised and robust set of assurance questions and criteria, reducing subjectivity and improving reliability. It is relied upon by many prime contractors and large buyers as their first point of supplier qualification and is continuously updated to reflect changing regulatory, cyber, ESG and compliance expectations.
By achieving JOSCAR accreditation, we are making it simpler for customers to engage with us, while reinforcing our commitment to high standards, transparency and continuous improvement.
