Water access for Belfast Rowing Clubs members was via steep steps until we helped the club secure funding from the Lottery Sports Fund for our sport specific surface, with excellent grip properties. By providing valuable design, layout and budgeting information, we enabled the club to complete a successful application.
“The investment’s transformed participation and enjoyment at the club,” says Jonny Baird, former club captain and project lead. “The anti-slip, mini-mesh decking means members feel more confident when moving boats.
“The new facilities have extended the season, enabling access in a wider range of weather and water conditions and the broad access ramps and high residual buoyancy has made launching and recovering boats much easier.”
