Located inside the historic harbour, space was an issue. We minimised the footprint of the facilities by using a cranked gangway with a cantilevered shore frame platform, saving space on the quay.

Subcontracting to Northwest Marine to carry out the works on site, we moored the pontoons to the quayside using vertical H-beams, which is a much more cost-effective solution than driving piles

Ensuring easy access for the commissioning and maintenance crews, we created a 24m x 4m heavy duty pontoon with an exceptionally high 1.2m freeboard to match that of the vessels’.

200mms of rubber D-fender offers increased comfort when berthed alongside while GRP decking suitable for commercial applications and task high level lighting together provide non-slip, year-round safe working conditions, night or day.

Working closely with the Aberdeen Harbour Board, we’ve created durable berthing for the client’s crew transfer vessels (up to 130T displacement) and safe access to the water for its offshore workforce.
